Last Tuesday, the Dutch Prime Minister held a press conference, stating that the measures now in force will last until the 28th of April. After this, they may be extended again. For all of us, this time is very uncertain and it will also probably last a while.

Our industry is being hit very hard, but we also see very nice initiatives. Flower Council Holland came up with the 'Let Hope Bloom' campaign. Flowers4Oxygen has created a beautiful piece of art featuring floral lungs and many other companies have donated flowers to companies, institutions and health care providers to support one and other.

We are therefore proud of this entire industry. Proud that in times when nothing is certain or normal, flowers and plants still are! Flowers and plants still means joy, love, sadness, thanks and so much more. Luckily we see that flowers and plants are still being given for all these reasons. Sales may decrease, but we still feel supported and still support each other. And that warms our hearts  a lot! #Strongertogether
