We are pleased to inform you that the Cymbidium season is back in full swing. This beautiful product from Duckitt Nursery from South Africa is available until mid-August in a length of 60, 80 and 100 centimeters. The 'mix' is the most available option. The mono colours are available upon request.
Every Cymbidium flower has a hollow arched lip that resembles a boat. This shape is where the plant gets its common name 'boat orchid' from — and its scientific name too: ‘Kymbos’, the origin of Cymbidium, is the Greek word for boat.
Cymbidum is used to survive on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. Even on that rocky, nutrient-poor soil, on cold nights and in bright light, it is able to bloom into its mysterious, elegant flowers.
