Back in our assortment is ‘Myrica Gale Extra Grain’ which has stems with many, large and coarse grains. Gale has a beautiful red-brown colour and an extraordinary shape.

Gale is available in our assortment in a length of 45 and 65 centimeters. We have to mention that Gale in 45 centimeters has a limited availability. Both varieties are available until March.

We are fans of stories related to our products and love to find out what the mythology or what the meaning behind each product is. For example, did you know that the Gale shrub was considered a medicinal plant or a magical plant? It was used against toothache, but was also considered an aphrodisiac. Gale is also insect repellent.

Today Gale is used in some specialty beers. In Denmark, twigs of the shrubs are used in the preparation of ‘Gale gin’. Moreover, according to old stories, the plant has a strong hallucinogenic effect, but we stay far away from that.
