In addition to importing flowers, roses and foliage, we also think it is important to contribute to our society and that we support a more sustainable living environment. This time we contributed to a project that is a little closer to home than usual.

Our colleague Paul Katerberg is treasurer of a petting zoo Boerenvreugd in Aalsmeer ( a small village near Amsterdam ) and has asked us to help make the petting zoo more sustainable by contributing to the purchase of solar panels. Together with Dutch Flower Foundation, we sponsored two of the 40 solar panels. As a result, the petting zoo is now energy neutral. We are always happy to help with these kinds of sustainability projects. By contributing to this project we not only help the petting zoo, but also the local area and of course the environment and we are very proud of that!
