Autumn introduces a whole new colour palette into our lives. from the bright summer colours we go to a warm mix of brown, yellow and red. In this article we explore our ‘typically’ autumn products that are essential for autumn-inspired floral designs.

CAPE GREEN

CAPSICUM

Capsicum is a beautiful and very decorative product. The ornamental peppers with their bright red, orange and yellow colours will definitely steal the show in your creation.

CONIFERS

You’ll find Conifers in our assortment as soon as autumn is here! You might think of this product as ‘simple’ but this is far from the truth. The leaves of the conifers beautiful cascade down, and have a lot of volume. Thus making this a perfect foliage to frame in your autumn-arrangement. Mix conifers with our beautiful protea assortment, hypericum and helianthus for example.

DRIED FLOWERS & FOLIAGE

Dried flowers and foliage have made a comeback and are very much on trend at the moment. Keep it simple and natural, with calm colours such as brown, yellow, muted orange and perhaps a little bit of deep red. We currently stock multiple dried flowers and foliage in our assortment, such as Cortaderia, Genista (available in orange, yellow and salmon-pink) and Barley. Spice the arrangement up with the deep red Broombush or our dried Banksia cones, which are available in brown and reddish.

EUCALYPTUS

Year-Round we stock a wonderful selection of Eucalyptus varieties. From the big leaves of the eucalyptus ‘Populous’ to the small and round leaves of the ‘Baby blue’ variety. And let’s not forget the sturdy looking ‘Robusta’ and the subtle ‘Gunnii’ s. A special eucalyptus variety is ‘Eucalyptus Trompet’, featuring a series of pear-shaped ‘fruits’ growing on the branches of this variety. Bonus: Eucalyptus is of course known for its fresh scent. In Autumn a lot of people suffer from inflamed airways due to the dropping temperatures. Eucalyptus can be a literal breath of fresh air when you hang them upside down along the shower wall behind the stream of water. The scent Eucalyptus releases, work wonders for your airways.

GOSSYPIUM

Gossypium with its fluffy, white orbs are a beautiful and long lasting decoration material. Put several branches in a vase and they will immediately set an Autumn mood. NERINE

Majestic, tall, slender, open, sparkling; just a few words to describe Nerine. It still doesn’t do this delightful flower any justice because we can marvel all day long about this grand finale of the (Dutch) flowering season. Nerine has a certain sparkle that will draw people in and bewitches them.

ROSEHIPS

We can’t make an autumn list and not include Rosehips. Rosehips are the ultimate fruit of autumn and when planning on making an autumn- inspired arrangement you simply have no choice but to include these robust Rose hip branches.
