On Sunday, January 12th the 4th warehouse of our Chico supplier 'Chicomex Internacional', had a festive opening. The opening party was well attended with a presence of more than 350 people. As tradition states, owner Juergen Geisler was allowed to cut a red ribbon. And because the Mexican population is largely Catholic, a priest was present to ceremonially bless the warehouse. 

We congratulate 'Chicomex Internacional' with the opening of the new warehouse! Chico is a beautiful cut green for which the demand has grown steadily in recent years. During busy periods and due to the elaborate sorting of the cut green, the expansion of the new warehouse will ensure more efficiency.

The social effects of the warehouse are also positive. Both the construction of the warehouse and extra space of the warehouse provide extra employment. Due to the location on the edge of the village, employees can return to their families daily after work. This is not to be taken for granted in Mexico, because the distance between work and family is often too big for employees to return home daily.
